Towards the top of this year, Keshia Chanté kicked off her return with new single “F**k It Tho” and last Friday (March 28th) she released new EP Unbound 101.
In this 5-track project, Chanté has gone back to her true R&B roots as she touches on numerous topics from love to heartbreak to all the emotions possible that we go through while growing up from your 20’s.
The day before the project released Keshia released the intro track “RedLight” as she went on to discuss the concept behind it with Noisey: “Pain can lead people into different directions in life and different places at night,” Chanté tells Noisey in an email of “Redlight.” The track also paints us “a picture into [her] world of escapism.”
It’s been almost 6 years six the Canadian songstress released her previous project Night & Day which featured popular songs like “Been Gone” and “Table Dancer”.
