What a week it has been for Mary J. Blige, just a few days ago she not only released her forthcoming album cover and tracklist but today she releases new song “Love Yourself” featuring Kanye West.

In this new soulful track, Blige touches on her previous relationship even more as she goes on to teach us one of the most important components needed for each individual before even getting into a relationship.

“Oh, you gotta love yourself, oh yeah / If you really wanna be with someone else / You gotta feed yourself / Before you feed somebody else / You gotta stay open, and don’t be foolish / ‘Cause everybody don’t mean you well / You gotta love yourself / You gotta love yourself / Before you love somebody else.”

Kanye follows-up touching on personal experiences along with society’s problems when he raps: “Made it out of the underground / From a time where you outta town / They might gun you down, blaow / There goes another round, blaow / There goes another round / Came from the Chi and wow, look what the f**k they found.”
