Just as the 59th Annual Grammys were wrapping up, DJ Khaled makes the biggest night for music even better with his new single “Shining” bringing the power duo Beyoncé and Jay-Z on board.
In this motivational single, Bey talks about her consistency being on a winning streak when she sings “Petty, petty, petty, I’ve been winnin’ steady / Yoncé, Yoncé all up on your grill, lil’ boy / Poppin’ off, back to my thought, yeah boy / Came out ’97, winnin’ 20 years, boy, oh.”
Later in the track her husband follows up, letting us know his long-reigning success when he raps “21 Grammys, I’m a savage ni**a / 21 Grammys, I’m a savage ni**a / I shouldn’t even worry, backward ni**as / 12 solo albums, all Platinum, ni**a / I know you ain’t out here talkin’ numbers, right / I know you ain’t out here talkin’ summers, right?”
If you we’re wondering who’s the little boy gracing the single artwork, it is Khaled’s adorable newborn son Asahd Tuck Khaled. To add onto contributions to the single PARTYNEXTDOOR help pen the single from Khaled’s forthcoming album Grateful.
